Interested in Becoming an Official @giroditalia Marshal?

Do you want to get up close and personal with the Giro peloton? Be part of the Big Start and sign up to be an official Giro Marshal for the Republic of Ireland leg of Stage Three.

If you are interested in being part of the Giro and volunteering to be a Marshal, please complete the following survey, where you can either select the training day of your choice, or wait for a date and venue that is more suitable for you. Once you complete the training day you will be entered in a draw for a number of prizes.

SURVEY (https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/975JM6M)

The Giro d’Italia is a three week international stage race taking place in May, and this year Ireland has been selected as the host for the Grande Partenza, or the Big Start, which will take place from the 9-11th May. Two stages will be held in Northern Ireland, and the third stage starts in Armagh, before travelling through Louth, Meath and Dublin, finishing up in Merrion Square in Dublin City.

With over half a million spectators anticipated, this is a real opportunity for you to be at the heart of the action, acting as an official Giro marshal along the route.

Cycling Ireland is coordinating the marshals for final leg of the Giro journey, and will be offering marshal training and information to marshals over the coming weeks. Once trained up these marshals will receive an official endorsement on their licence from 2015, and will be able to avail of opportunities to marshal at other key events, like the European Marathon MTB Championships on the 14-15th June.

Please note that this event is open to both Cycling Ireland members and non-Cycling Ireland members. If none of the dates listed so far suit you, by registering your email address we will keep you updated with regard to upcoming venues and dates. If you have a group of a minimum of 20 interested people we can accommodate a specific training date for your group.
