St. Patrick’s Festival 2014 Restrictions

It's that time of the year again, St. Patrick’s Festival is back and bigger and better than before.

Of course there will be a number of road closures across the city and, drum roll, here they are!

St. Stephen’s Green North (from Dawson Street to Grafton Street)

The Ceili – from midday to 9 PM on Friday 14th March 2014.

Music Event – from midday to 11 PM on Saturday 15th March 2014.

Fun Run – from 10 Am to 1 PM on Sunday 16th March 2014.

The Taxi Ranks on St. Stephen’s Green North will be suspended and temporary rank set up on St Stephen’s Green North between Dawson Street and Kildare Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.


St. Patrick’s Custom House Quay Funfair

Custom House Quay (from Eden Quay to Memorial Road) - from 10 PM  on Friday 14th March to 6 AM on Tuesday 18th March 2014.

Traffic from Eden Quay / Butt Bridge wishing to travel on Custom House Quay will be diverted via Beresford Place and Memorial Road
Pedestrian access will be maintained.

St. Patrick’s Merrion Square Funfair
Merrion Square West - from 8 PM on Wednesday 12th March to 10 PM on Tuesday 18th March 2014.

Traffic from Clare Street / Merrion Street Lower will be diverted via Merrion Square North / Mount Street Lower / Warrington Place / Herbert Place / Baggot Street Lower
Traffic from Merrion Row and will be diverted via Baggot Street Lower, Fitzwilliam Street Lower, Merrion Square East and Merrion Square North.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Location A: Western Way from 8 PM  on Sunday 16th March to half 2 on Monday 17th March 2014.

Location B: Dominick Street Upper, Mountjoy Street, Mountjoy Street Middle, Palmerstown Place, St. Mary’s Place North, Granby Row, Parnell Square North, Parnell Square East, O’Connell Street Upper & Lower, O’Connell Bridge, Westmoreland Street, College Green, Dame Street, Lord Edward Street, Christchurch Place, Nicholas Street, Patrick Street, New Street South, Newmarket, Clanbrassil Street Lower from 5 Am to 5 PM on Monday 17th March 2014.

Traffic on Arran Quay travelling north and east will be diverted via Church Street, Constitution Hill, North Circular Road, Portland Row and Amiens Street.
Traffic on North Wall Quay travelling south will be diverted via City Quay Lombard Street, Westland Row, Merrion Square North, Mount Street Lower and Haddington Road.
Traffic on North Wall Quay travelling west will be diverted via George’s Quay Beresford Place, Gardiner Street, North Circular Road, Infirmary Road, Parkgate Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.

St Patrick’s Festival Music Stage
Dame Court - from 8 AM to midnigh on Sunday 16th March 2014.

Traffic on Exchequer Street for Dame Court will be diverted to South Great Georges Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.

St. Patrick’s Festival – Big Day Out
Merrion Square East, Merrion Square South, Fitzwilliam Street Lower and Mount Street Upper (from Fitzwilliam Street Lower to James’s Street East) from 7 PM on Saturday 15th March to 11 PM on Sunday 16th March 2014.

Traffic from Merrion Square North / Holles Street wishing to travel on Merrion Square East will be diverted via Mount Street Lower, Warrington Place, Herbert Place and Baggot Street Lower.
Traffic from Fitzwilliam Street Upper / Baggot Street Lower wishing to travel on Fitzwilliam Street Lower will be diverted via Baggot Street Lower, Herbert Place, Warrington Street and Mount Street Lower.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Treasure Hunt - Castle Street

Castle Street from9 Am to 6 PM  on Saturday 15th March 2014.

Traffic wishing to travel on Castle Street to Werburgh Street will be diverted via Lord Edward Street
Pedestrian and local access will be maintained.
