Connyngham Works Update

Lots of you have been asking on the show when the left turn lane of Connyngham Rd will reopen, wel it looks like it's going to be the 18th of April.

The 6 metre high and 30 metre long wall is being built on schedule. The ground anchoring is starting on March 18th

Normally retaining wall works like this would take a lot less time but the work has to be carried out in short 5 metre lengths or else more of road could collapse which would include gas mains, and other utilities being damaged.

Add to this the space to work in Bridgewater Quay is very confined as it is necessary to keep entrance road open for traffic and emergency vehicles etc.
