Rock And Roll Road Closures!

The Dublin Rock n Roll Half Marathon takes place this August Bank Holiday Monday and of course that's going to bring with it a few road closure around the city.

St. Stephens Green South: will be closed from half 4 in the morning to half one on Monday the 5th
Earlsfort Terrace will be closed form 2 in the morning until 2 in the afternoon.

Diversions Etc:

Traffic on Leeson Street Lower wishing to travel on St Stephen’s Green South to Cuffe Street will be diverted via St Stephens Green East & North, Dawson Street, Nassau Street, Westland Row, Pearse Street, Tara Street, Burgh Quay, D’Olier Street, Dame Street, South Great George’s Street and Aungier Street.

For the marathon route:

Rolling road closures will involve diversions for South and North City traffic, including inbound traffic from Ballyfermot Road, Naas Road, Davitt Road, Crumlin Road, Harold’s Cross Road, Rathmines Road and Ranelagh Road which will be diverted east along the Grand Canal to Leeson Street, and South Circular Road traffic will be one way outbound from Harrington Street to Dolphin’s Barn. North City inbound traffic from Castleknock Road will be diverted via Navan Road.

Pedestrian and local access will be maintained.The temporary road closures are to facilitate the start and finish locations for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Dublin Half Marathon. In addition, there will be lane restrictions on St Stephen’s Green South and Earlsfort from 16.00 hrs on Sunday 4th August. 

During the event, from 08.15 to 12.30 hrs on Monday 5th August, the Gardai will implement rolling road closures along the course, on Cuffe Street, Kevin Street, Patrick Street, Nicholas Street, Winetavern Street, South Quays (from Merchants Quay to Heuston Station), Frank Sherwin Bridge, Parkgate Street, Phoenix Park, Chapelizod Road, Chapelizod Bridge, St Laurence Road, Sarsfield Road, Inchicore Road, South Circular Road, Harrington Street, Harcourt Road, Charlemont Street, Charlemont Place, Harcourt Terrace and Adelaide Road.
