New Years Eve Traffic Disruptions

Just a heads up to anyone coming in to celebrate New Years Eve in the city center the following roads will be closed in Dublin city center for the celebrations.

College Green and Dame Street (from South Great George’s Street to College Green) from 4 PM on Monday 31st December, 2012 to 8 AM on Tuesday 1st January, 2013.

The northbound lane on College Green (Dame Street to Westmoreland Street) will be closed from 6 AM on Monday 31st December, 2012 to 8 AM  on Tuesday 1st January, 2013.

Saint Stephen’s Green North, South, East and West will also be closed from 4 PM  to 9.30 PM on Monday 31st December, 2012.

Diversions:

East and northbound traffic on South Great Georges Street wishing to travel on Dame Street /College Green will be diverted via Lord Edward Street, Christchurch Place, Winetavern Street and the North Quays.

Eastbound traffic on High Street/ Nicholas Street will be diverted via Winetavern Street and the North Quays.

Southbound traffic on D’Olier St wishing to travel on Nassau St will be diverted via Townsend Street, Lombard Street and Westland Row.

West and southbound traffic on College Street wishing to travel on College Green /Dame St and will be diverted via Westmoreland St and South Quays.

Inbound traffic on Leeson Street wishing to travel on St Stephen’s Green will be diverted via Adelaide Road, Harcourt Road, Camden Street, and Kevin Street / Aungier Street.

Pedestrian and local access will be maintained.
